Health is going mobile. mHealth is allowing patients to do everything from track their calories to use their smartphones as glucose monitors. It's also helping physicians to diagnose and treat patients from their mobile devices. As mHealth technology continues to develop and, in many ways, replace traditional healthcare, providers, patients, lawmakers, and software developers all must grapple with the privacy issues these changes are bringing. In this summer workshop, Consortium Senior Research Fellow Anne Marie Helm and Consortium Graduate Research Fellow Dan Georgatos will discuss the development of the mHealth market, how the current privacy framework addresses its challenges, and what is to come.
